This popular event continues to bring its seasonal magic to delighted audiences. The concert in the magnificent Great Hall will be preceded by a reception from 5pm in the elegant Long Drawing Room where you can enjoy wine, mince pies and other festive fare by the roaring log fire. The Christmas trees and twinkling lights create a truly special atmosphere in this most wonderful historic venue. The programme comprises beautiful music spanning over 200 years played by Orchestra Pro Anima directed by Michael Bochmann MBE. This year, the orchestra will be joined by the outstanding French Horn player Stephen Roberts. The orchestra was launched in January 2017 and is formed of musicians who have played together over a long period as members of the English String Orchestra and who have a real affinity with one another, forged over time. Their programmes, musicianship and warmth of presentation are a winning combination.
