A Versatile Estate of 6,000 Acres
Berkeley Castle is a quality venue for entertainment of many kinds, and in combination with the 6,000-acre Berkeley Estate can offer a wide variety of backdrops for your event.
The Castle is surrounded by Elizabethan terraced gardens, which are themselves encircled by the Meadows – some 23 acres of flat fields with direct access from the road and a similar area which can be used for car parking.
The Castle’s apartments date from Mediaeval to Georgian periods, and can pose as a grim fortress or an elegant home.
Experience
We hold a number of varied events on the Meadow throughout the summer and are therefore familiar with all the usual organisers’ requirements.
Facilities
The Castle is about 10 minutes drive from Junctions 13 & 14 of the M5; some 20 minutes from Bristol and Gloucester.
The Great Hall (completed in the 14th Century) is licensed to hold 128 diners; with reception drinks in the Long Drawing Room in winter months, and in a marquee on the Gun Terrace during the Castle’s opening season (April – October).
Free parking for up to 120 cars is available in the Castle car park
